What is ARIGATO?

ARIGATO is a gratitude-logging PWA (Progressive Web App) designed to help you practice gratitude daily. It allows you to log moments of gratitude across different categories, from big wins to small everyday moments and even hard times. The app works offline and installs directly on your home screen.

How do I start using ARIGATO?

Getting started is simple. Visit the app, and you can immediately begin logging gratitude entries without creating an account. Just click "Log it" and add what you're grateful for. Your entries are saved locally on your device.

Do I need an account to use ARIGATO?

No account is required for quick local gratitude logging. Create a free account when you want a private MySQL cloud copy, searchable history, or access from another device.

How do I install ARIGATO as an app?

ARIGATO is a PWA, which means it can be installed directly on your home screen. On most devices, you'll see an "Install" prompt when you visit the site. You can also manually add it to your home screen through your browser's menu. Once installed, it works like a native app.

Is my data private?

Entries are private by default. Local entries remain on your device; signed-in entries are stored in your private cloud account. Only entries you explicitly submit and moderators approve can appear publicly.

What gratitude categories are available?

ARIGATO includes six main categories: Money & Abundance, Journeys, Family & People, Body & Health, Everyday Moments, and Hard Moments. Each category helps you recognize gratitude in different areas of your life.

Can I share my gratitude entries?

Yes, ARIGATO includes a Gratitude Wall feature where you can share your entries with others. You can choose to share specific entries publicly, and view gratitude from other users. Your private entries remain private.

Does ARIGATO work offline?

Yes. Entries can be saved locally without a connection and are uploaded to your private account when cloud sync becomes available again.

What languages does ARIGATO support?

ARIGATO is available in English and Japanese (日本語). You can switch between languages in the app settings. The app celebrates gratitude across cultures.

How do the analytics features work?

ARIGATO Plus calculates private weekly reports from your own entries, including streaks, category balance, recurring tags, and yearly activity. These reports are not posted publicly.

Can I export my data?

ARIGATO Plus members can download their complete gratitude archive as CSV or a printable PDF from Account & Sync.

Is ARIGATO free?

Core gratitude logging remains free. ARIGATO Plus adds cloud history, weekly reflections, and PDF/CSV exports while helping fund hosting and moderation. Plus can be purchased through DPO Pay using supported cards or Rwanda mobile money.
